Company Description

Dr. O'Rourke grew up in western Washington surrounded by farms. His combined love for animals & biology led to the obvious choice - veterinary school. After graduating from Washington State University, he returned to western Washington where he worked first in Everett, then opened 2 practices in Marysville.
In 2006, Dr. O'Rourke opened Animal Care Center in Mount Vernon, WA. Since he resides in Skagit County, Mount Vernon was an obvious choice for this new, state of the art facility. At home, Dr. O'Rourke has 4 cats, 3 dogs, 2 horses, 2 sheep & several chickens. So when he's not taking care of your pets, he's busy with his own!

Dr. Johnson grew up surrounded by veterinary medicine - hard not to when Dr. O is your dad! She always knew she'd go to vet school and graduated from WSU in 2003. She did an internship at Colorado State, then completed a residency in internal medicine and a Masters Degree in Immunology. She brings a specialty license in Internal Medicine to Animal Care Center, as well as a strong interest in Animal Behavior and soft tissue surgery.
